The UKRM is rapidly becoming the benchmark standard for mediators wishing to practice within the UK. Any practitioner who gains the status of UKRM-Registered Mediator aspires to work within the core values of QualityThe mediator’s training will be a minimum of 40 hours duration, assessed on course, externally accredited, and delivered by a reputable organisation. In putting their skills into practice, they will also be engaged in case supervision with an experienced practitioner.IntegrityRegistered mediators will have done much more than just a training course! They will be engaged in ongoing professional development, will allow external scrutiny of their work, and will hold proper indemnity insurance for their mediation practice. They will also be required to adhere to our Code of Practice.AccountabilityUsers of mediation need to know that, should anything go wrong, they will have some means of addressing practice issues with the mediator. All UKRM-Registered Mediators are required to be bound by our published Complaints Procedure, thereby providing a level of accountability to purchaser’s of their services.
